<esden[m]> josuah_dem (@_discord_453536439565680640:catircservices.org) ?
<esden[m]> Anything wrong here?
<josuah_dem[m]> no, but this set of 5 color stripes reminds me of something
<josuah_dem[m]> I thought the alignment of color was chosen as a reference
<esden[m]> Yeah, it is a "hidden" ... not so hidden feature 😄
<esden[m]> hiding in plain sight easter egg?
<esden[m]> might crack some eggs ... who knows

<sys64738_2574[m]> one can only hope
<esden[m]> I was not the one that set the LEDs on the board in that order so I can't take credit, but it was awesome when I noticed it. 🙂
<josuah_dem[m]> What are these pins for? Is it worth documenting too?
<esden[m]> I think we came to the consensus that this connector is not very useful. It was another instance of "we have spare GPIO pins"
<esden[m]> at least they have some extra ESD protection.
<esden[m]> I might document them in a future version of the card. I already placed the order today.
<josuah_dem[m]> Still very good to know they are there in case running out 🙂
<esden[m]> Ok, I will add it to my todo before ordering the next batch of cards.
<josuah_dem[m]> Maybe those who are hunting the last free pin would have noticed it already...
<josuah_dem[m]> hats off to all the teamwork on this project!
<esden[m]> I mean ... usually if they miss one or two pins they miss much more than that and end up breaking out the LVDS connector
<esden[m]> that was my experience so far
<josuah_dem[m]> Oh right! 😄
<esden[m]> hmm... the signals don't even have proper names 😦
<esden[m]> the location of that connector in the middle between the IO banks is bit unfortunate too... it ends up smack in the middle of "everything else" on the kilt
<esden[m]> lol... wait ...I guess I did not propagate the DNP on the ESD diodes o_O
<esden[m]> all the boards I made so far have them :P... ahh well
<esden[m]> /me throws some diodes into the crowd ... "I hope they make you happy" 😄
<josuah_dem[m]> \o/ hurray!
<whitequark[cis]> <esden[m]> "I was not the one that set the..." <- Hector Martin suggested five LEDs, so I immediately knew what they should be
<whitequark[cis]> they are pretty, and they also serve as a very nice filter
<whitequark[cis]> the default pull-ups light it up beautifully
<esden[m]> Ahh good! Now I know who to credit for the color choice. Well done! 🙂
<esden[m]> And 💯 for the automatic filter.
<esden[m]> That said, I had a bunch of people at DefCon comment positively about the color choice, as it was sitting on the desk powered up the whole time I was there.
<whitequark[cis]> it works both ways!
<whitequark[cis]> I'm really glad I did it
