kchibisov: no, I haven't. It's difficult to determine how long time it will take to render a frame, since it depends on both how much has changed in the grid, as well as where the changes are.
<kchibisov>
I'd assume average time tracking doesn't help?
<kchibisov>
Though, you should rather track worst case.
<kchibisov>
Though, it all matters if you have long vblank interval, on 120Hz+ it's not that relevant.

Do you accept donations/ko-fi/etc?
<dnkl>
kchibisov: yeah, I'm pretty sure things could be improved. It's not something I've felt was needed to be prioritized so far
<dnkl>
vyryls: I do, but currently only have it setup on GitHub. It's been on my to-do list to add more alternatives, like forever...

I'd prefer a non political distro that does linux distro stuff instead. YMMV

why doesn't "echo -e \a" make the window alerted? i'm using swayfx, and `swaymsg for_window [title="."] urgent enable` alerts all windows. i guess this means "alert is supported by sway".
<midgard>
"echo -e \a" just prints an a for me. try "echo -e '\a'" or "printf '\a'"
<midgard>
another wlroots one, river. bell works there.
<midgard>
OtzmaVindicus: did you think of sleeping and focusing a different window? if your window is still focused when the bell rings, your urgency status isn't going to come through

OtzmaVindicus: i have no idea what the defaults are, but i can tell you that it's explicitly enabled in my config
<midgard>
OtzmaVindicus: did you look at my latest question/suggestion?
<OtzmaVindicus>
midgard: bookworm solved. i had no bell enabled. i thought it's on by default. my bad.
