<cc0>
is there a way to know if the terminal supports OSC777 / get the escape sequence for OSC 777 from terminfo dynamically?
<dnkl>
cc0: not that I'm aware of. Non-buggy terminals should however ignore unrecognized OSC-sequences
<cc0>
is there any hint at all like maybe something checking OSC support?
<cc0>
any OSC
<dnkl>
the color OSC-sequences have query variants. You'd have to emit another query after that, that you feel sure all terminals will reply to, to ensure you don't hang forever, waiting for a reply that never will come (on terminals that don't support the color queries)
<dnkl>
but I don't think that's a good way to guess 777 support...
<cc0>
i was thinking maybe checking for support of Cs / Ms / Cr which are apparently OSC on multiple terminals
<cc0>
thats so hacky...lol
<cc0>
maybe Ms is not too bad... it's for OSC 52 / clipboard support

I want to use foot for a kiosk-like setup. It should be safe for that, right?
<WhyNotHugo>
Like, there's no way to open a menu or anything, so no obvious holes...?
