<davidlt[m]> I mentioned that it will be final available a couple if days ago.
<davidlt[m]> It was cooking for months (I have one pre production sample).
<davidlt[m]> It's the same JH7110 as in VisionFive 2, which finally should get upstream support in 6.4.
<davidlt[m]> If you are looking for higher performance Sipeed will be better for a similar price, but no upstream support.
<davidlt[m]> I know Sipeed has no plans for upstream, and I am not sure what Alibaba THEAD will do.
<davidlt[m]> D1 was a community effort.
<davidlt[m]> Also Sipeed TH1520 is running at higher clock, 16GB of RAM and it's OoO cores.
<davidlt[m]> There is more. It has tons of vendor extensions (some are pre-ratified RVI extensions).
<davidlt[m]> If that gets IFUNCs it will be cool.
<davidlt[m]> [sipee](https://sipeed.com/licheepi4a)
<davidlt[m]> What we loose is high-sipeed IO, but there is USB 3.0.
