<PrathamPatel[m]>
Of the components sent upstream (regardless of if they are merged or not), what is necessary for a functioning system that is headless (with UART ofc)?
<PrathamPatel[m]>
Yep, I confirmed it with `hwclock`.
<PrathamPatel[m]>
Thank you though :)

Note that there are no battery on the board :)
<cwt[m]>
The RTC is on CPU, I plan to buy an external I2C or SPI RTC.
<PrathamPatel[m]>
<davidlt[m]> "Note that there are no battery..." <- Michael in Arch Linux RISC-V room suggested systemd-timesyncd as a good option for NTP and it works :)
<PrathamPatel[m]>
<cwt[m]> "The RTC is on CPU, I plan to buy..." <- Any particular reason why?
<cwt[m]>
oh, I just checked the price, I2C RTC is really cheap. I just ordered 5 modules with the sum of their prices being just around 3 USD.
<cwt[m]>
PrathamPatel[m]: Because there will be some situations that the board cannot connect to network.
<PrathamPatel[m]>
Fair :)
<cwt[m]>
And the price is less than a Starbucks coffee.
<PrathamPatel[m]>
haha

I also have other boards that I can play which may have some benefits from RTC modules too. I have >10 ESP32 and other boards available.
