<rwmjones> davidlt: morning, can I do the kojid changes now?
<davidlt> rwmjones, checking
<davidlt> rwmjones, yes
<rwmjones> nufive seems idle I thnk
<rwmjones> ok
<davidlt> rwmjones, yeah, all stuff built overnight
<rwmjones> davidlt: actually that failed to start
<rwmjones> checking log ...
<davidlt> I am just playing with lasso package thus it's fine to ignore it
<rwmjones> journalctl-- is so slow
<rwmjones> it'd be nice to get rid of:
<rwmjones> error: /usr/lib/rpm/macros.d/macros.build-constraints: line 12: Macro %constrain_build has unterminated body
<davidlt[m]> You most likely would need to update rpm, redhat-rpm-config or/and build-constraints-rpm-macros
<rwmjones> there's no update, but also the file looks the same as on x86-64 which doesn't have this problem
<davidlt[m]> I know it's fixed in f37 :)
<rwmjones> so it's a bug in rpm itself?
<rwmjones> I have rpm-4.16.1.3-1.fc33.riscv64
<davidlt[m]> Nah, it's just a few things need to align.
<davidlt[m]> Which packages that is I don't recall this morning.
<davidlt[m]> You might need actually a new RPM for this to work
<rwmjones> ok updating rpm fixed it, but I had to uninstall fedora-packager
<davidlt[m]> My advice: avoid messing with builder rootfs until there is something that resembles f37 :)
<davidlt[m]> I am not sure one will be able to do f33 -> f37 upgrade properly.
<rwmjones> that's no fun :-(
<davidlt[m]> With Miro push on Python front things are moving a lot better.
<rwmjones> I still couldn't enable the rpmautospec plugin, see email
<davidlt[m]> I still expect a mass rebuild of f37 at some point, but in general there are a lot of f37 packages in root.log logs these days.
<davidlt[m]> Ah, you install bits from f37.
<davidlt[m]> Miro is running Python 3.9 -> 3.11 bootstrap.
<rwmjones> what is Miro?
<davidlt[m]> Almost all existing python-* will no longer work as those require a new Python ABI.
<davidlt[m]> mhroncok / churchyard
<davidlt[m]> The official Fedora / Red Hat Python person :)
<davidlt[m]> He has been doing a lot of work in the last few days.
<rwmjones> got it
<davidlt[m]> And thus I can spend a bit more time on boring stuff (like bring more boards online)
<rwmjones> is that bootstrap happening in x86 or riscv?
<davidlt[m]> And thus giving access to more folks :)
<davidlt[m]> riscv64, x86_64 happened a few months ago.
<rwmjones> ok
<davidlt[m]> We are catching up to f37, but we are late.
<davidlt[m]> Most of it will be done probably before the official F37 lands.
<davidlt[m]> Minus mass rebuild.
<davidlt[m]> F37 will be needed for all new RISC-V boards. Will give something a bit more stable for folks while most fun will move towards Rawhide.

<rwmjones> davidlt: for rpmautospec, it seems like we need
<rwmjones> but compiled for f33 / old python
<davidlt[m]> rwmjones: I would advice to uninstall all new packages, aka revert.
<rwmjones> I don't have any new python packages installed
<davidlt[m]> You don't need to install a plugin. It's already install all Fedora disk images by default.
<davidlt[m]> *installed
<rwmjones> hmm so it is
<rwmjones> but still I cannot start kojid with the plugins line uncommented
<davidlt[m]> Because it has a syntax error, see my email. It should not incl. quotes
<davidlt[m]> It should be: plugins = rpmautospec_builder
<rwmjones> ok trying
<rwmjones> that works ..
<davidlt[m]> When I was working on it long time ago, I made a typo.
<davidlt[m]> But it actually works as expected (tested on by board).
<davidlt[m]> There are still issues, but at least this should solve most of it.
