<ahpiski> hi, Is crux as stable as freebsd?
alibabab has joined #crux
<ppetrov^> ahpiski, it's as stable as you make it :p
<ahpiski> ppetrov^, I like your answer so much that I don't hesitate to install it:)
<ppetrov^> heh
<ppetrov^> well, I really don't know what to tell tell you. CRUX pretty much depends on _you_, as well
<ahpiski> It was not an irony! poor English. I really like it and I will install it.

<remiliascarlet> ahpiski: In my experience, stability of both FreeBSD and CRUX depends on the machine you're running it on.

<jaeger> ukky_: do you still have the paste of the changes needed for the ISO to work with ventoy? Unfortunately I lost my copy and the paste link doesn't work anymore
<cruxbridge> <tim> https://0x0.st/XoCU.txt could it be this one?

<ukky> jaeger: tim: https://0x0.st/XoCU.txt is still good for loading CRUX ISO from Ventoy disk. No other detection issues discovered since the original patch was made.
<jaeger> OK, great. Thanks. I'll give it a try this week, hopefully.
<ukky> Detection will fail if new device (SAS/SATA) is added after Ventoy initial boot menu, but before CRUX ISO is loaded. That's another test case, but we might not fix that.
<jaeger> That seems like an unusual use case
