Romster: now that beerman has given us contrib/openh264, would you consider '/openh264/ s/disabled/enabled/' in your gst-plugins-bad Pkgfile? With that one change to gst-plugins-bad, my webkitgtk browsers are now able to play mnkydeth's odysee.com videos (and more besides).

xorg-libxft 2.3.7 is buggy. When Xft.embolden:true is set in ~/.Xdefaults (or whatever you "xrdb in"), then the font kerning aka the inter-letter-whitespace is too large.
<stenur>
When i turn it off i have 212 columns again, otherwise 191, as with the next larger font.
<stenur>
SiFuh: that is why NotoMono was showing other colours than my other ones, whyever.
<stenur>
Oh i had totally forgotten i have Xft.embolden set, as i have it for so long.
<stenur>
But firefox-bin menu also looks different now, but that always a mess
<stenur>
(I have a github account since a year or so since i promised a real bug report to the OpenSSL people, because Matt Caswell in particular did all the work for me once i did so last only on the ML.
<stenur>
But i repeat, and do so in public, so here: i do not support american and unfortunately western war against Iran, North Korea, Cuba, Russia, and whoever has to be the evil in that dirty game.

hey, can someone reproduce this problem? Downloading make witH curl gives this error (ARM atm, I can't check on x86_64): curl: (35) error:0A000152:SSL routines::unsafe legacy renegotiation disabled

pitillo: downloads without issues on x86_64
<pitillo>
thanks SiFuh, I'll check on my desktop too (on 2 ARM devices with 3.7 same behavior)
<SiFuh>
pitillo: I'd check your time/date and also check ca-certificates
<pitillo>
same behavior rebuilding ca-certificates
<pitillo>
on my desktop I have the same problem (with make and sed)
<pitillo>
so the problems must be me...
<farkuhar>
pitillo: maybe the problem is the ftp mirror that you got routed to (slow to renew its SSL certificates)? Could you try defining a nonempty PKGMK_SOURCE_MIRRORS in /etc/pkgmk.conf and download from, say, crux.ninja?
<pitillo>
SiFuh: problems with mirrors from ftpmirror.gnu.org
<pitillo>
farkuhar: yes, that's is... I'm routed to a spanish ftp mirror with old TLS version I believe
<SiFuh>
Cool, noted
<pitillo>
thank you very much for your help :)
<SiFuh>
You can thank farkuhar
<pitillo>
yeah, farkuhar too... he saw the solution at the same time, anyways, rich community as always :)
