<beerman> jue: looks like newsboat needs https://github.com/newsboat/newsboat/pull/2056 or at least if we want to stick with gcc 12.1
<beerman> i have rebuilt everything in opt with it and now work through the failures to see if its fixable or not, and most seem to be
<beerman> https://dpaste.com/3B2K9LRJ6 this would be another one for you: gtk-theme-adwaita seems to enable both gtk and gtk3, but with gtk3 already being "the old one", maybe it would make sense to not hard depend on gtk2 anymore, and only enable it if the user has it installed
<beerman> mysql seems to not be able to use openssl 3.0 so far.. which is a bummer, not even the newer version 8.x
<beerman> https://dpaste.com/E8ZUJYPFH opt/pear is weird - is there a way to get these files into the footprint to have them removed with pear?
<beerman> even when you remove these files, it will auto create them https://dpaste.com/CRRW5PC7T
<beerman> and they are left behind when you remove pear again, that sucks
<beerman> http://sprunge.us/KVjhJ0 samba has a footprint mismatch, it doesn't seem to depend on krb5 either

<jue> beerman: thanks for the hints, will look at them tomorrow, guess that's all related to 3.7?
<beerman> jue: no problem. i did rebuild all of opt due to gcc 12.1 and now try to see if that still fits into 3.7
<beerman> i have no idea if that affects 3.6 as well so a seperate test would make sense, but with 3.7 around the corner I dunno if its worth your energy
<beerman> tevent seems to need cmocka, but i haven't gotten to check up on that yet
<beerman> i can post the full opt diff from my 3.7 container later
<jue> ok
<beerman> jaeger: mingw-w64-binutils tries to overwrite a file from binutils http://sprunge.us/e18jfn
<beerman> jue: squid on gcc11 gives a footprint mismatch https://dpaste.com/DXXVAP99E on gcc 12.1 it fails to build alltogether.. http://sprunge.us/2SKM8p
<beerman> the NEW are surely from my dirty desktop - I am more interested in the MISSING files
<beerman> maybe these are build if ldap is not around?

<beerman> https://dpaste.com/CF869CVQW these are the remaining offending ports for me, everything else works after some minor touches: http://sprunge.us/JNeuSc
<beerman> i can share patches as needed or commit things if you want jaeger jue whatever works best for you..
<beerman> anyway, I'd say we will probably be fine with jumping onto gcc 12.1 for the most part, any objections?
