<keesj> I think it is much better to use udev to mount partitions , it can be that it was formated without partition e.g one would need to mount /dev/sda and not /dev/sda1 in such situations
<keesj> A second problem with hardcoding is that if the disk gets removed while in use the linux kernel will keep references to /dev/sda something and when you insert the stick again it will become /dev/sdbX
