<set_>
But the error of int is not callable still remains.
<set_>
I think the add function is creating, from its inner workings, a useful outcome.
<set_>
w/out the add function, the source breaks at y.
<set_>
Anyway, 10000 loops in python3 w/ numpy takes approximately 44.xxx seconds on the BBB.

Hot too!
<set_>
Well, it is probably something else.
<GenTooMan>
set_ trying to write a custom renderer for wx.grid.Grid type so I can save hundreds of megabytes of memory instead of waste it with a bunch of strings.
<set_>
Oh.
<set_>
Smart.
<set_>
I know nothing about that either. Is it working?
<GenTooMan>
I have the grid demo done and am writing the custom renderer. It seems a bit complicated the way they designed doing that.
<set_>
Good luck, sir!

can a uEnv.txt file only in sdcard redirect uboot to start from eMMC?

Guest65, no, uEnv.txt is loaded by either u-boot on the eMMC or microSD..

<mattb0ne>
we did but you told me to just use USB
<mattb0ne>
i was being stubborn. I went against the zmatt on this one. I googled something on avahi
<zmatt>
I did indeed; or if you really want to use ethernet then get an ethernet switch
<zmatt>
mDNS is almost certainly not your problem
<mattb0ne>
I got an actual switch this time
<mattb0ne>
it wasnt after install avahi i could create a connection and the beagle was registered
<zmatt>
install avahi on what?
<mattb0ne>
on the system
<zmatt>
which system, the host?
<mattb0ne>
yes
<zmatt>
avahi wasn't installed? what OS/distro ?
<mattb0ne>
it is mint debian edition
<mattb0ne>
I think part of the problem was how I installed. I could not jump right to the LMDE4 because the kernel that came with the install could not recognize the new intel stuff
<mattb0ne>
so I had no screen no ethernet.
<zmatt>
do you did some sort of minimal install?
<mattb0ne>
LMDE3 installed in SW mode
<mattb0ne>
rendering
<mattb0ne>
but I had a gui and I could migrate from LMDE3 to LMDE4
<mattb0ne>
but i think I lost some basic functionality
<mattb0ne>
I did that upgrade kernel to 5.10
<zmatt>
anyway, you specifically need libnss-mdns (which depends on avahi-daemon)
<mattb0ne>
and added these extra avahi packages
<mattb0ne>
right
<mattb0ne>
I got that
<mattb0ne>
then I could create a connection and the black was in the drop down
<mattb0ne>
now it works
<zmatt>
I did mention that too last time we spoke btw
<mattb0ne>
learned a bit more about linux packages
<zmatt>
there's no such thing as "linux packages"
<zmatt>
how package management works varies per distro
<mattb0ne>
yeah you do some massive knowledge dumps and i just have a small cup to hold it
<mattb0ne>
well debian
<mattb0ne>
which is probably
<mattb0ne>
gonna be my distro of choice
<mattb0ne>
going forward
<mattb0ne>
what do you use
<mattb0ne>
some custom kernel job
<mattb0ne>
lol
<zmatt>
?
<mattb0ne>
distro
<zmatt>
on my laptop? debian
<mattb0ne>
that is a solid choice right
<mattb0ne>
good team support updates/
<mattb0ne>
?
<mattb0ne>
why do you use them
<zmatt>
because I'm used to it and I prefer using the same distro across different systems (laptop, server, embedded)
<zmatt>
and I'm not a very typical "desktop" user anyway
florian has quit [Quit: Ex-Chat]
