<DC-IRC> [Discord] <jessjess84> I have an intel wifi card that requires firmware-iwlwifi ... what's the way to install a package like this without internet? I have a working Ubuntu 24.04 install on my desktop, and could load something onto a USB stick but I don't know where/how to correctly make sure it's right .deb packages for Armbian
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <jessjess84> I am using Armbian 24.2.1 bookworm
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <jessjess84> (on an Orange Pi 5+ B, if that matters)
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <Werner> Try installing armbian-firmware-full package
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <jessjess84> I can't, because I don't have internet. That's why I need iwlwifi package
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <jessjess84> What I'm asking is how to download the firmware packages on another system, and install them in armbian from a USB stick
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <jessjess84> So, for instance, how would I download armbian-firmware-full (compiled for Armbian, not x86) on my x86_64 Ubuntu 24.04 desktop system, and make sure I have correct packages?

<BillyBiscuits> Like, how can I just figure out what .deb files would be downloaded if I did "sudo apt get firmware-iwlwifi" on the Armbian board, and then fetch that package with wget on my other box?
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <jessjess84> nobody gonna help billy biscuits out? poor billy
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <jessjess84> Tried running `apt install --print-uris armbian-firmware-full` and it gave me this URL --> http://apt.armbian.com/pool/main/a/armbian-firmware-full/armbian-firmware-full_23.11.1_all__1-SA516e-SMaae6-B90f5-R448a.deb
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <jessjess84> but when I try to fetch it with wget, it gives 404 not found
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <jessjess84> where can I download this firmware .deb so I can just put it on a USB stick?

<m33> Hi guys, I see BillyBiscuits messages, that reminds me about Bookworm. I have a Lepotato running Jammy (22.04LTS), does anyone knows if in place upgrade goes well from 22.04LTS to 24.04LTS ?

<Manneveru> jessjess84: have you tried `apt show armbian-firmware-full` or browse the pool directory of the repository? + I think they don't host older packages.
<Manneveru> m33: You mean Canonical
<Manneveru> m33: You mean Canonical's Jammy?
laz0r has joined #armbian
<Manneveru> m33: or Armbian Jammy?
<Manneveru> m33: On Armbian it would need to be Armbian Noble...

<m33> Manneveru: Armbian
<m33> You're right, it's Noble according to Armbian's vocabulary.
<Manneveru> No, it's not Armbian's vocabularly but official Ubuntu name. However, I don't think any Noble build is ready. My understanding is you're asking if move from Armbian Jammy to Armbian Noble is possible. Easiest way would be to flash new image to SD card.
<Manneveru> But if you think about distro upgrade Jammy to Noble, that's not yet supported even on Canonical's Ubuntu...

<m33> Manneveru: oh, ok thanks: I will wait then, I prefer doing upgrades and not a full system resinstallation on a new sdcard
