Saur_Home98: they're two separate things so bitbake would need to error out on ConnectionRefused. Are you saying bitbake didn't stop?

RP: If you look at the output I provided in the pastebin link, bitbake does stop later when it tried to communicate with the non-started HE server. But it took me a very long time to figure out that I needed to look at bitbake-cookerdaemon.log to figure out what really happened.

Hello Everyone, does anyone know proper way to execute yocto-check-layer tool? I am trying to execute the yocto-check-layer tool on my project is it necessary to have a local build first of my project and then execute yocto-check-layer tool or I can execute it on clean clone. I tried on clean repo but it is giving many errors that are not actually a error.

Hi all! I'm using the `testimage` functionality (for the first time) to run some tests on an already running QEMU instance with `simpleremote`. From my experiments, it seems that this requires a build has been previously completed in order to run, despite already having a running instance of QEMU with the latest software running. Is there a way run

`testimage` for an image without having to do a complete rebuild? I have not used `testexport` as that does not seem to support custom targets, which is my ultimate goal.

hi all :-) might be a bit of a silly question, but... is there a way to tell bitbake that it should prioritize fetching a certain set of packages at the beginning of a build? i've got a couple of packages from servers that are so slow they may as well be dialup or transoceanic connections, and they are sort of bottlenecking things
