<azonenberg> bvernoux: has .268 been tested in all OSes? and also, we'd need docs updated to use the new version as well
<bvernoux> azonenberg, I have pushed a PR for the doc
<bvernoux> I cannot test MacOS, but I have tested both Windows native (Win11) & Ubuntu 23 native with success
<azonenberg> OK
<azonenberg> i'll hold off until we get a mac test report then. Also, i dont want to make any changes to the CI scripts until the self hosted flow is fully operational
<azonenberg> there's a few little details i have to fix with johnsel still
<bvernoux> MacOS use already latest 1.3.268.1
<azonenberg> oh ok
<azonenberg> in that case i'll verify and merge after the CI updates are taken care of
<bvernoux> I have not seen any change between old version 1.3.250 vs 1.3.268.0 for Windows & Ubuntu build anyway it is transparent
<azonenberg> Yeah i'm just always careful about updating the SDK after the few times they broke backward compatibility
<azonenberg> so it always has to be tested
<azonenberg> 99% of the time its fine, 1% of the time it breaks the build :p
<bvernoux> Here it does not break the build ;)
<bvernoux> But yes take your time to check that on your side
<bvernoux> Main interesting stuff is probably "The Vulkan Configurator (vkconfig) has been updated to improve quality and stability"
<bvernoux> Which was buggy on previous Vulkan SDK 1.3.250 ...
<azonenberg> what was broken with it on 250?
<azonenberg> i'm using 250 for development on my debian box and have not had any problems with vkconfig
<azonenberg> i know they do add new validation layer features periodically, 224 to 250 added some useful checks
<bvernoux> When using Debug I remember there was some crash or things like that
<bvernoux> It was mainly related to adding debug layers for different stuff ...
<bvernoux> But yes they have added even more useful checks in latest SDK 1.3.268
<bvernoux> For normal use case I doubt that add anything anyway it is mainly to debug or check stuff
<bvernoux> Vulkan SDK 1.3.268.0 for Linux/Windows date from 24-Oct-2023
<bvernoux> Without any bug fix so that smell good ;)
<bvernoux> the only fix done was for MacOS with 1.3.268.1
<bvernoux> On 25 Oct 2023
