22:00 <TimMc> The code now gets rendered dynamically inside a large <textarea>, and anything that's not on the screengets unloaded. Naturally, this requires a whole bunch of hacks to compensate for all of the native browser behavior that they can no longer use, and half of what you try to do acts... weird.

22:01 <TimMc> They had it in public beta along with the new code search for a couple months. The new code search is actually fantastic. But the code browsing obviously wasn't full baked, and for some reason they decided the two needed to be rolled out under the same feature switch.

22:04 <TimMc> (There are also a lot of people complaining about missing features in the new code search, but honestly the old code search was *super broken* and I'm betting was also a huge maintenance burden, so I don't think they made a bad call in that regard.)
