<NickH>
I created a river-session.target and in my ~/.config/river/init I call "systemctl --user start river-session.target"
<NickH>
All my user units that I want running during my river session have "WantedBy=river-session.target"
<NickH>
I end my river session (with wlogout) with "systemctl --user stop river-session.target;riverctl exit"

I think at this time I am mostly facing systems quirks that I am not familiar with at all

Hello, I want to try River but I noticed that Firefox (and its folks) do not have border ( both active and focus )
<Guest30>
Why and how can I fix it?
tiosgz has joined #river
<tiosgz>
Guest30: it's because gtk doesn't implement a protocol that would let river tell it not to draw its (gtk's) decorations, so river adjusts its behaviour to that
<tiosgz>
you can force river's borders with rules, e.g. riverctl rule-add ssd (to enforce it everywhere)

Guest30 you can check the official readme for workarounds/fixes

Hello everyone! I want to do bind Super+E+1 to something. How do I do that? Because when I try `riverctl map normal Super+E 1 spawn rofi` it tells me that `error: invalid modifier 'E'` and `riverctl map normal Super E+1 spawn rofi` also gives me `error: invalid keysym 'E+1'`
<leon-p>
Vartroc: this isn't possible right now unfortunately. You can have multiple modifiers per bind, but not multiple keys
<leon-p>
if you'd also be fine with f.e. pressing Super E, then 1 separately afterwards, you could check out groups
<Vartroc>
huh, interesting. I'm quite new to river but that kind of workflow seems nice
<Vartroc>
thanks for the answer
<Vartroc>
gonna check that out

Hello! Is there a feature like focus-previous-tags but for views?
<thatOneGuy>
and is there a way to make XWayland views to not scale? I use `wlr-randr --output eDP-1 --scale 1.3` to scale. In Hyprland this feature is present: https://wiki.hyprland.org/Configuring/XWayland/
