<bw> not exactly a river question, more a wayland question: how would a compositor go about tricking an app into thinking it's visible, even though it isn't?

<bw> but like, 10x slower if it's not visible
<ifreund> compositors will generally stop requesting new frame from clients that aren't visible
<bw> ok, so maybe that's it
