<plumeus> I'm currently trying to compile waylock on NixOS and failing, oh well
<plumeus> oh, I had wayland-protocols and wayland-scanner but forgot to install wayland itself.
<plumeus> oh, and scanner isn't required

<plumeus> I managed to build it and run it but I couldn't get out. I presume it's because of some PAM thing? Because NixOS has some stuff I need to do for that.
<plumeus> If there's something on waylock's side that can make the program refuse without proper PAM settings, that would be nice. (I have no idea what that requires so disregard it if it's infeasible)
<ifreund> plumeus: I'm no expert but I don
<ifreund> *don't think that's possible unfortunately

<plumeus> I just tried setting my pam files to the contents of https://github.com/ifreund/waylock/blob/master/pam.d/waylock
<ifreund> plumeus: the problem is that the "correct" pam configuration depends on how your distro has configured PAM
<plumeus> oh, okay
<plumeus> I'll try the default config (which worked for me with swaylock) and see how that goes
<ifreund> maybe look at how swaylock or xscreensaver is packaged for NixOS

<plumeus> I finally had the time to work on it and it worked as expected.
<plumeus> Well, I have a fully functioning Nix file for building waylock so I guess I could try packaging it for Nix when I feel like it.
