I don't think mirroring is possible yet with river

good day all
<questionable_ole>
leon-p: sorry to bother, I did update both wl-roots-git and river-git today, river -version now shows 0.2.0-dev.120+5eb0e23, but stacktile still gives the global river_layout_manager_v3 error: have 1, wanted 2
<questionable_ole>
ah. need to copy the executables to /usr/bin probably

after the reboot getting a river core dump with wlr_xdg_shell_create: Assertion version <= WM_BASE_VERSION
<questionable_ole>
does this say wlroots is lower version then river expects?

what's your wlroots version? iirc you can't compile river with a wrong wlroots version
<novakane>
questionable_ole: ^
<novakane>
oh you said wlroots-git so I'm guessing you're on wlroots master, you need wlroots 0.15
<questionable_ole>
yep, river was compiled successfully. I think I have something messed up with prefixes
<questionable_ole>
I have river in both /usr/bin and in /usr/local/bin, and aI have libwlroots.so in both /usr/lib64/ and /usr/local/lib64/
<questionable_ole>
wlroots-master installed into local/lib64
<questionable_ole>
thinking of removing river from /usr/bin and seeing if this works
<novakane>
isn't that some symlinks?
<novakane>
don't use wlroots master though
<questionable_ole>
OK, should I use wlroots 0.15 stable with river built from source?

Just made the switch to river wm. Runs much smoother than sway wm on this machine. The tags are a smart idea..
