Hi
<mizzunet>
Suddenly mouse pointer disappeared. Though I can focus windows and all. Restarting, rebooting do not fix this. With `WLR_NO_HARDWARE_CURSORS=1`, a laggy mouse pointer is shown.
<NickH>
What version of river?
<mizzunet>
Latest master. I also tried 0.1.3. Then I tried Sway. The mouse pointer is not there either.
<NickH>
So 0.2.0-dev.103+db366e9?
<mizzunet>
It's shown on gnome session though
<NickH>
Hmmm. What wlroots?
<NickH>
What on your system changed?
<mizzunet>
Sorry for the late reply. I wasn't able to get to message input fields
<mizzunet>
wlroots is 0.15.1-5
<mizzunet>
river git version is the gdb466e9
<mizzunet>
*366
<NickH>
So that is river 0.2.0-dev.103+db366e9
<NickH>
I see that "-5" on your wlroots version. Did your distro recently release a new patch update?
<mizzunet>
NickH: 0.1.0.r103.gdb366e9-1
<NickH>
That is not a proper version number for river.
<mizzunet>
NickH: I don't remember
<NickH>
Check your upgrade/update logs. Or failing that, the timestamp on the wlroots files.
<mizzunet>
Last day, there was mouse pointer
<mizzunet>
I haven't un/installed any packages except wine
<tiosgz>
arch community/wlroots 0.15.1-5 Build Date: Wed 2022-05-18 03:02:58 UTC, doesn't seem to be any recent
<tiosgz>
if that's what you use
<NickH>
Well, I'm out of ideas.
<mizzunet>
I have taken a btrfs snapshot last week, let me try that
<NickH>
Just run Debian or Ubuntu and use my river packages. All works flawlessly ;-)
<tiosgz>
s/run Debian or Ubuntu and use my river packages/don't run anything/ :P
<NickH>
Run away!
<tiosgz>
fortunately i can also *dash* away
<mizzunet>
Gladly no problem on this snapshot
<mizzunet>
I need to figure what changes I've made in between these two times
<NickH>
I've never used btrfs. Is there some way that you can get it to show you what changed?
<mizzunet>
> Is there some way that you can get it to show you what changed?
<mizzunet>
I don't know. There must be some tools to compare these two roots. I need to find that first.
<mizzunet>
Perhaps, btrfs itself may have this functionality

I wish it's less cool xd
<mizzunet>
The issued I was having was caused by exporting MESA_LOADER_DRIVER_OVERRIDE=crocus. It was suggested on Wine ArchWiki for some perfermance improvement
<mizzunet>
tleydxdy 😋
<mizzunet>
* perfermance improvement, which I followed blindly because I'm stupid
