<cousteau> Hi! I'm having a look at https://github.com/riscv/riscv-bitmanip
<cousteau> May someone explain me what's the deal with the `main` and `main-history` branches? Is the former a "collapsed/squashed" version of the latter?

<Bluefoxicy> Found this while looking for video on how to do SRT Radix-4 division :|
<Bluefoxicy> the only thing I've got working is getting the correct q value, but that's only 4 LUT-6.
<Bluefoxicy> people got all kinds of papers out folding the P-D table in half or guessing a possibly-incorrect digit and running parallel fuzzy logic to correct the partial remainder later
<Bluefoxicy> but it's trivial to just generate a correct digit with barely any logic :|
<geist> cute re: the bad apple thin
<Bluefoxicy> yeh.
