<azynheira> Hi all

<azynheira> Has anybody recompiled picolisp on Termux pm arm64?
<azynheira> I am getting errors while generating base.ll. I must be doing something wrong.
<beneroth> hi azynheira. Which LLVM version do you have?
<azynheira> I think 14.
<beneroth> good
<beneroth> I think src/base.ll should come from the tarball and not be generated anew?
<azynheira> really ?
<azynheira> But its trying to generate it ... and I get a 0 bytes base.ll
<azynheira> I think it fails why running pil lib/llvm.l base.bc
<azynheira> *whilr
<azynheira> *while
<azynheira> If I am not  mistaken
<azynheira> I used pil21 24.12.31 version
<beneroth> what did you do? just unpack, cd src/, make ?
<beneroth> you have picolisp installed/older version present?
<beneroth> I think the picolisp package in the termux repository is also the one from 31.12.2024
<azynheira> Yes, exactly
<azynheira> I installed a pre-compiled package to bootstrap it
<azynheira> 24.12.31 version
<beneroth> so the same picolisp version which you intend to build
<beneroth> base.ll should be part of the installation
<beneroth> maybe you used "make clean"?
<beneroth> anyway, maybe just re-install and use the pre-built picolisp for now. abu[7] or tankf33der might be able to help you tomorrow (in about 12h)
<azynheira> that might be correct, but it should be able to regenerate it by bootstraping it with another instance of pil21
<azynheira> I do it all the time with 64bit intell version.
<beneroth> T
<beneroth> should work exactly the same afaik
<azynheira> I will try to get clean debug traces
<azynheira> Thanks for your help :)
<beneroth> sorry I don't build often ^^
<azynheira> No problem at all!

<abu[7]> Hi azynheira! I use Termux as my primary build platform
<abu[7]> Works out of the box
<abu[7]> What error do you see?
<abu[7]> If you unpack the tarball with "tar xfz pil21.tgz", then base.ll will be newer than the source .l files, and thus not be tried to rebuild
