unless, maybe modern printers are tuned well enough to compensate the effect away to a large extent. the whole concept is more or less exploiting artifacts of imperfect nozzle pressure/flow control

Looks like a post-slicer gcode modifier, in that version.

Although you could easily imagine more merit to integrating that into a slicer.

it would be much easier to use it inside the slicer as it still knows all geomtry. a post slicer solution would have to reverse-engineer the geomtry to know where to apply the pattern to.
