Things I would like in OpenSCAD: pause/continue shortcuts for animation
<dTal>
also, the ability to programmatically specify camera angle
<dTal>
also, the ability to condense stacked transforms into a single transform matrix that can be accessed from code
<dTal>
(this last one you could implement in .scad - probably someone has?)

hey y'all, bad news! a misclick MAY have deleted the files.openscad.org instance 😩 the DO ui is mad confusinig!
<jfhbrook>
sadly, I did not set aside the time today to stand up a new instance properly and life is immediately yanking me away. but I can at least provision an ubuntu instance (needed an upgrade anyway) if I can get the pubkeys people want. can an admin email me, josh.holbrook@gmail.com ? I'll find the time to squeeze this in
<dTal>
uh oh! I hope it was all backed up
<jfhbrook>
and, yeah, I'm sorry. I was trying to delete an old project and DO's UI confused me and put me in the wrong project. super sucks!

sadly, it does not look like it was snapshotted. I honestly assumed it was this whole time.
<jfhbrook>
on the bright side, that machine was running an unsupported OS, at least it'll be upgraded at the end of this
<jfhbrook>
I gotta run back to my job, this was supposed to be a quick "during breakfast" kinda cleanup of my personal stuff -_- but I'll keep an eye on my email and bare minimum provision a fresh instance with keys for the approprate admins before end-of-day
<jfhbrook>
I probably won't have time to get everything on easy street as far as infrastructure-as-code today but I can at least unblock the recovery
<teepee>
jfhbrook: I should have some backups, lets talk we have a new server
<jfhbrook>
oh yeah?
<teepee>
not the system stuff but the web part
<teepee>
but I guess we don't actually want the system stuff ;-)
<jfhbrook>
ahhh - so the move might actually be to migrate that stuff to the server you're using for everything else
<teepee>
well, it's not fully setup yet, but it comes from the official funds
<jfhbrook>
oh nice
<teepee>
I suppose we can use it. I don't think there's a huge rush needed, I'll post a note that downloads are down for a bit
<jfhbrook>
ok cool
<teepee>
looks like the last sync is at least from this year, so that should cover most of the stuff, not a huge deal to drop the snapshot builds
<jfhbrook>
I gotta log off libera, but if you email me I should be reasonably prompt with replies, especially once I'm done with the workday
<jfhbrook>
this is all a relief though
<teepee>
yep. me = german time, but we'll find some way to sort this out :)
<jfhbrook>
and yeah, sorry again, and let me know what you need from me and I'll do my best
<jfhbrook>
alaska time here XD
<jfhbrook>
I'll keep an eye on my inbox 👋

dTal: dev snapshot has pause
<dTal>
damn okay looks like I need the dev snapshot
<dTal>
what a shame I can't have it now...
<teepee>
sure you can, just a couple of more clicks. that OS?
<dTal>
what do you mean "that OS?"?
<teepee>
*what*
<dTal>
oh
<dTal>
linux64
<dTal>
*x64
<teepee>
uh, lots of choices :)
<teepee>
Snap, AppImage, Flatpak, Debian/Ubuntu would have native packages
