<buZz> guso78k21: in fact, since bldc controllers (aka ESC) exist
<buZz> the type you get for that are 'sensored' ESCs
<guso78k21> i think such ESC sit in my quadcopter :')
<buZz> and you add hall effect sensors on the stator, to detect position of the rotor
<buZz> likely not, quadcopters are aiming for low weight
<buZz> plus they arent really needed below ~100rpm
<buZz> eh, ABOVE ~100rpm
<buZz> either way, practically ALL ebike ESCs i've ever seen use -sensored- motors
<buZz> btw, its not 'speed' they measure, but 'phase'
<buZz> as BLDC motors are triple phase AC ;)

<buZz> no, its a actual ground wire used
<buZz> oh actually, only for the sensors, the three phases dont get any GND , their circuit is just between the three phases
<buZz> sensorless BLDC have -just- 3 wires
<buZz> sensored ones usually 3 thick ones and seperate header with 4? wires
<buZz> or 6? hmm

<linext> the kit has an error though, the power switch only shuts off the volt screen
