So I think what we can do is use float type matrix for some of the loss functions in the tests while double for some where more than 9 decimal point precision is needed?

I don't think there would be any function that would need precision to that degree, but yes that's the general idea that I had.

after the deadline passes, there's nothing that can be done to submit late or change from draft->final, etc.; Google is pretty firm about that

(like I've said before, mentors can get in touch with students during the review period and get clarifications to the proposal, etc., but to be eligible for the program, the final proposal must be submitted by the deadline)
