kris4kant: Hello, so it doesn't matter if you used mlpack before, as long as you are willing to dive into some literature and are open to learn the concepts used all over the codebase.

kris4kant: One place to start, if you have not already seen it, is: http://www.mlpack.org/gsoc.html also there are a few issues on Github that might be a good place to jump in.
