< gopalakr> rcurtin/zoq : the output model file for lars is uninterpretable.. is there a documentation to it ? i see a big file with one line (eg: 22 serialization::archive 10 0 0 0.. )
< zoq> gopalakr: What format do you use to save the model?
< gopalakr> i just want to see the weights on each dimension..csv/txt
< gopalakr> but it has 2000+ of dimensions .. where as my data is only 30 dimensional ... is there more to the lars model than the weights ?
< zoq> gopalakr: Maybe I missed something, but if you save the model as xml "-M model.xml" you should see every parameter that is used to construct the model.
< gopalakr> i see ok will try that thankx
< zoq> Let me know if that's what you want.

< rcurtin> gopalakr: there will be a lot of information there, but you're looking for the last element in the betaPath vector
< rcurtin> at least, I think that's what you're looking for; those are the beta coefficients from the last step in the optimization
< gopalakr> ok that is exactly what I was going to conform .. thanks.. and the order of dimensions is not scrambled right ?
< gopalakr> like w1 would correspond to dimension1's eventual weight
