sicelo: in parallel with pierogi port, i'm trying to use lirc (irsend). The setup is fine, the daemon works, sending command works, the config file is ok (and i'm sure it works with the receiver) but it doesn't work with Leste...something seems wrong with dts
<sicelo>
there's noIR receiver on N900
<sicelo>
ir-ctl is really the better option
<arno11>
i know that
<arno11>
but ir-ctl has very few compatible protocols
<sicelo>
i see.
<sicelo>
what dts issue you see?
<arno11>
maybe timer issue
<arno11>
brb

i don't really have many remote control based stuff, so that's why i didn't test much
maxwelld has left #maemo-leste [Error from remote client]
<arno11>
ok. i've few ones to test. they works with fremantle, seems to work with Leste but no pulse received
<arno11>
*they work
<arno11>
with no dts changes, kernel crash happens with lirc as well
<sicelo>
ah, found a remote in pierogi (fremantle) that does work for my sound system
<sicelo>
so I'll do sk
<sicelo>
I'll use that for testing :-)
<sicelo>
but ... for now I'm focusing on the earpiece issue
<arno11>
ok :)
<sicelo>
by way of update, i think we have everything necessary for the earpiece to work. it's only a matter of routing.
<arno11>
ok
<sicelo>
i think I'm close, but yeah, our audio codec is rather complex
<arno11>
indeed

sicelo: Wizzup: (btw i fixed many errors to port pierogi: wrong dependencies, strerrors, scrolling and others. i still have 5 or 6 weird undefined pref errors to be able to build)

Hello guys
<wunderwungiel>
Can we finally see arm64-generic image? :')
<wunderwungiel>
After the latest Leste update
<Wizzup>
just wondering what that entails exactly
<Wizzup>
like, are you expecting a bootloader or a kernel?
<Wizzup>
btw, you can probably use the pi4 or similar images for that too, they're pretty generic
<Wizzup>
but I'll see what I can do now

<dakedres>
I have the phone in fastboot
<dakedres>
How do I make sure my host machine recognizes it lol
<dakedres>
It's not like I see it in lsblk
<dakedres>
OH ok. It's saying waiting for device. Cool.
<dakedres>
Is it alright if I use this channel for support as I try to get fastboot to work? For some reason it's not recognizing the usb device. Here's what happens when I run lsusb. https://dakedres.sys42.net/share/mi-lsbusb.txt
<Wizzup>
sure thing, it's just too late for me at night now to stay up, but I can look tomorrow morning
<Wizzup>
there's also others around
<dakedres>
I see online a lot of people are looking for a Google inc idVendor, which I don't see (but they could be dealing with far more modern devices). I worry it might be one of the unrecognized devices
<dakedres>
Ah well thanks I appreciate any help at all haha
