going further on my 2 display quest on rk3288. Now I have a card1-LVDS-1 and a card1-eDP-1 device. Is it normal they both have card1-prefix? I'd expected 2 different ones? as one should take VOPB and the ohter VOPL?
<qschulz>
Woutervanh: there's only one card for the display subsystem on Rockchip

my edp gives only black screen. dmesg gives me:
<Woutervanh>
[ 3.862576] [drm:analogix_dp_bridge_atomic_enable [analogix_dp]] *ERROR* failed to get hpd single ret = -110
<Woutervanh>
[ 3.862697] rockchip-dp ff970000.dp: failed to set bridge, retry: 4
<Woutervanh>
[ 3.862768] rockchip-dp ff970000.dp: too many times retry set bridge, give it up
<mmind00>
Woutervanh: so the first one will be the main issue ... so either the power-supply setup for your edp display is wrong (missing an enabled regulator?) ... or hotplug-detection is broken on your display ... "force-hpd" in the devicetree (of the edp controller, I think) can force this

yes, now I've put it to force-hpd and have some visual. Though not stable at all (dancing image). But there's a PTN3460 DP-LVDS converter in between. Need to figure out where the issue is
