Kwiboo: I checked the RK3576 TRM Part 1 (only part I have) and the GMAC is unfortunately undocumented, a full document search for "delay" only brings up GRF registers for the SDMMC IP. :(
<CounterPillow>
wget works with your current branch, had to make sure the board gets an IP manually though by invoking dhcp myself (weird that wget doesn't do this if there's no ipaddr?)

<Kwiboo>
CounterPillow: noticed that for the rk3576 the gmac delay is disabled when using rgmii-id etc, for rk356x/rk3588 it is left eanbled with a delay value of 0, not sure if that should matter
<Kwiboo>
there are some patches for lwip that may change/fix such issues, I always did a "setenv autoload no; dhcp;" before testing wget
<BusError>
Is the gmac supported/working in u-boot mainline? Last time I tried, it was missing a MDIO driver..?
<CounterPillow>
BusError: for what SoC?
<BusError>
rk3566 -- I saw the patch going for the mac, but nothing gets instantiated, seems to be missing the MDIO driver. Altho it's been a couple months now so details are getting hazy :-)
<BusError>
I was on 2024.01-rc1 or so, I'll update that project and see if anything changed. I had tried to find 'inspiration' in other rockchip board configs for the 66 or 68 buity I don't think they had been updated at that time...
<Kwiboo>
look like v2024.01-rc1 was first tag that included the gmac driver and also enabled gmac and phy driver for the rk356x boards supported at that time, I mostly tested dhcp/ping worked in u-boot back then, suggest you try something newer for other improvements
<BusError>
Will do, and report.

qschulz: mmind00: Kwiboo: I'm looking into the patch series that adds support for overlay built-time tests... I believe we'll need to improve it a bit, but I'm yet to test a few things first
<dsimic>
qschulz: mmind00: Kwiboo: yup, we need to improve it a bit... I'll respond in the v4 thread in more detail a bit later
