do you have any idea what pvr.hts may be doing that's so special re media playback? this never playing/stopping/switching "regular" media

between one in ten and one in five channel switches in pvr.hts will result in an audio stutter and then lowered volume+constant and commensurate "hiss"/whitenoise

and sometimes (rare) the worst sound in the universe

this also happens if there is a buffer issue during playback, stutter due to ui usage, etc

the issue then persists across ui sounds and other media

a reboot fixes it, reconnecting the amp fixes it, switching channels a few more times also fixes it

it is apparent that pvr.hts streaming/playback *is* doing something special, it seems much more resource-intensive and sensitive to lag due to ui usage than other media playback

as to how pvr.hts *specifically* manages to trigger "the whatever from high atop the thing" in snd-usb-audio which then persists across ui sounds and other media: not a clue
