Libreelec freezes for me frequently, does anyone know how to fix this? I sometimes keep my pi running over night and when I wake up, it's frozen. It sometimes freezes when I'm using it.
<colo>
which RPi model, which LE release?

RPi 4, LE 10.0.2
<yang>
It also happened to me, but after the fresh installation, I still need to check the uptimes
<yang>
I also use it with Argon One chasis, which supposedly has some issues

skoa, can you connect to the host via SSH when that happens? are you sure you do not have thermal or voltage issues?

colo: I haven't tried
<skoa>
I normally disable ssh. I only enable it when I need it
<skoa>
I have a keyboard and it's not responsive
<skoa>
is there a way to enable ssh with key authentication? In the UI, I can only change the password
<colo>
sure, just dump your pubkey(s) in ~/.ssh/authorized_keys

ok, thanks

cause I was afraid of only using a password

as that's not secure

hello, I installed LibreELEC-RPi4.arm-10.0.2.img.gz on an rpi4 and enabled ssh. This is announced via avahi, but the port is closed. I'm not sure how I can debug that?! Any hints?

FTR: After reflashing (and not touching "ssh" in the firmware partition) it works as expected.
<ukleinek>
the host name configured in the setup dialog wasn't used for dhcp though.

maybe after a reboot it will? AFAICT the name I gave my device is used for dhcp
<diederik>
You enabled ssh through 'touch ssh'? AFAIK that's a thing that's only used by RPi Foundation images; nowhere else

diederik: yeah, I somehow expected that would work for libreelec, too. Maybe it was the reason ssh didn't work?
<diederik>
IIRC when you first boot up you get a wizard in which you can enable it

diederik: yes, if you have a mouse or a keyboard connected. I thought touching "ssh" might help that I don't have to unplug my PC's peripheral to setup the rpi :-)
<diederik>
ukleinek: if you add 'ssh' to the bootparams (in cmdline.txt on FAT32 partition), then it will enable ssh (without mouse/keyboard)
