I've made some progress. If I do 'pactl list short cards' I see the 2 soundcards on my network device (soundserver; 192.168.2.34), but only one shows up in Settings/System/Audio/Audio output devices ... and it's the 'wrong' one (SPDIF). How do I get the HDMI card there? Details here: https://paste.debian.net/1219609/
<diederik>
If I blacklist the SPDIF module on soundserver, I only see the HDMI card, but it still doesn't show up in kodi

Hey all, trying to run 10.0.1 on a RPi 4 but not getting any HDMI output after the boot rainbow
<centizen>
Tried a couple different SD's and power supplies at this point, don't think they are the issue
<centizen>
any ideas why the software doesn't want to boot?

I get a green blinking LED on the board and on the network connection so I know something is going on under the hood
<LEBot>
[slack] <klojum> @centizen: How did you write the image to the SDcard? Try using Rufus if the LE tool doesn't work.
<centizen>
Sounds good, I'm actually writing a new card with the official imager right now to see if that works
<centizen>
I had used the LE tool
<centizen>
by official imager I mean the rpi foundation one
<centizen>
if that doesnt work I'll use rufus
<centizen>
yeah it must have been an issue with the LE imager, I'm booting up okay now
<centizen>
thanks for the help, I really appreciate the work you've put into this software

[slack] <klojum> In theory all tools should work, even 'dd'. Writing images is just a 1-on-1 copy, it's not rocket science. But, things can still happen.
