enebo: ok I must be doing this all wrong... replacing instrs does not seem to replace them, not sure if it is still falling back on startup instrs or what

so I went head and just used getInterpreterContext and rewrote that and it seems to work

or at least it passes one of the tests that fail, and others now blow up worse
