byteit101, did have to catch up on your PRs :) thanks for doing that. The only thing I had to tweak was the gem reference at https://github.com/jruby/jrubyfx/blob/master/lib/jrubyfx_tasks.rb#L100 when jarifying. I don't make use of FXML though, so can only confirm success for the programatic approach.

I am doing it. Thanks for the PR. This is just a few calls. Simple enough. I will also add some javadocs on the methods you were using. One of them for sure has no docs saying it is for Java integration only
