<opticron> Hey, got my glasgow a little bit ago but I'm finally getting a chance to use it. I'm currently trying to use it as a logic analyzer to bring up a CAN bus, so I have pins 0,1,2,3 on port A hooked to the target device
<opticron> I seem to be getting an empty vcd file out of it using this command: glasgow run analyzer --port A --pins-i 0,1,2,3 -V 2 analyzer.vcd
<opticron> it has 4 pin definitions, but just no data
<opticron> output from that command confirms that the bitstream is on the device, that the applet is running, and that the port voltage is set to 2
<opticron> I haven't been able to find much in the way of docs for the analyzer applet
<opticron> or even a basic usage example, so I assume you just hit ctrl+c when you're done
<opticron> hmmm...the applet looks like its setting up edge-triggered events, so maybe if I don't get any transitions at all then the file stays empty
<whitequark[cis]> yeah
<whitequark[cis]> the analyzer applet is also just not very... fit for purpose
<opticron> :/
<opticron> hopefully I can get it working because that's one of the reasons I got a glasgow
<whitequark[cis]> it's basically a quick hack i've done in a literal day ages ago
<whitequark[cis]> i've meant to improve it a lot but that never quite happened
