this isn't completely serious but i was climbing the FPGA learning curve rather rapidly and it shows

i mean, all of that gateware works fine, i just don't like how it's architected anymore, because you can't push it quite as far as you could push the same thing if i wrote it today

i'd have to talk to others but i don't think any of the "core" folks have either the skill or the inclination to do video tutorials (mainly wondering about esden here)

I did some Glasgow videos a few years ago, and I expect some pieces will be useful from a "how does it work" point of view... but most were rework and/or developing new applets
