<dav_818[m]>
another approach would be to dedicate a few pins to link several ice40's, but from what I understand, how data is multiplexed through the fx2 might make it complex to say stream data from say 4x LVDS ADC's and DAC's + a few UART's
<dav_818[m]>
I'm looking to build my own form-factor board (I need a different power-scheme and connectors), but mainly that I need more spi and uart channels (applets) to run in parallel.
<dav_818[m]>
what would be the easiest approach there? just duplicating the amount of fx2's+ice40's and add a quality usb-hub?
<dav_818[m]>
plan was to run the host code on a raspberry which usb-stack is so so when you have multiple devices, i.e. throughput usually gets half and half again by just running two HS devices through the same hub

dav_818: we do not support derivatives like this (it's too expensive in terms of maintainer resources); you're entirely on your own
