<ewenmcneill[m]> Looking at the bottom of my early bird Glasgow, it does look like the sync connector (through hole) pins are noticeably the tallest protrusion from the bottom of the PCB (followed by the A / B port pins). It might be that just trimming those sync pins after soldering (or the user doing so before installing the PCB into a case) is sufficient to gain additional flex clearance from the case bottom.
