<dnkl> Firefox probably picks up the theme from gtk settings
<dnkl> since there's no standardized (no protocol defined) way to set the theme in Wayland, foot uses XCURSOR_THEME
<dnkl> the default is filesystem based. Can't remember which path is used though.
<dnkl> I guess there could be a bug in wl_cursor_theme_load, where the provided cursor size is ignored when it falls back to the default theme?

<anarcat> hello!
<anarcat> first, thanks again for foot (and fuzzel), i use both as my daily drivers and they work great, so congrats on that :)
<anarcat> i'm here to say that Debian will very soon enter freeze, and if you want to ship your latest in greatest in the next Debian stable release, it would be a good idea to make a release real soon now
<anarcat> in fact, i'm a bit late and it might actually be too late already :/
<anarcat> if it's a minor release, it should be able to pass the "toolchain freeze", so it means you have basially the month of january to make the release *and* have someone (e.g. me) upload it to debian
<anarcat> details are in https://release.debian.org/testing/freeze_policy.html (a bit arcane, happy to answer any questions)

<WhyNotHugo> It does look like foot falls back to the default on Arch, but uses some other smaller cursor on Alpine.
<WhyNotHugo> Do you think that's a bug, or should I just set XCURSOR_THEME for foot?

<tachi> anarcat: too late? Doesn't the freeze start in February?
<tachi> I'm encountering a bit of slightly odd things when using Vim in foot, that aren't reproducible in Kitty and xterm. Maybe foot's 1.13.1 terminfo files are a bit broken?
