<davidlt[m]> rwmjones: remind me, how do you feel if I diverge from F37 and take a newer binutils (F38 content)?
bkeys has joined #fedora-riscv
<rwmjones> davidlt[m]: newer is better as far as I'm concerned
<davidlt[m]> ok

<davidlt[m]> PINE64 went public that their RISC-V SBC will have StarFive JH7110 (quad U74)
<davidlt[m]> So it will be called Star64, with a very nice price point.
<Esmil> Nice!
<davidlt[m]> 4 and 8GB models and 2 RJ45.
<davidlt[m]> If you want just 1 RJ45 (which is not available at launch) it will be 5 USD less.
<davidlt[m]> I hope it gets available on PINE64 EU store at the same time as on the global one.
<davidlt[m]> While they continue to claim 1.5GHz, that's probably not really realistic (but who knows)
<davidlt[m]> Ah, I see some mistake, I will ping them.
<rwmjones> is there a price on this?
<davidlt[m]> They target same price point as Quartz64 board
<davidlt[m]> So <100 USD
<rwmjones> thanks
<davidlt[m]> Think of it as higher performance Unmatched (not by much), but way cheaper.
<davidlt[m]> The only sad part is 8GB of RAM.
<davidlt[m]> It should be able to compile majority of packages (with -j4), but not all.
<davidlt[m]> It also has a GPU (that most of us will not care until the drivers get upstreamed).

<rwmjones> interesting that there's a GPU, is it an ARM one? like mali or whatever?
<rwmjones> BXE-2-32
<rwmjones> ohh imgtech
<davidlt[m]> Imagination
<davidlt[m]> Otherwise USB 3.0, open-ended PCIe port (M.2 drive!)
<davidlt[m]> I hope their will reveal more information soon ;)
