Esmil: It's a long discussion regarding function stuff, but basically Palmer will reject any patch that specifically binds LED to particular function as Unmatched and Unleahed are not products with which have LEDs documented to have particular function.

This is why the patch in meta-sifive I did doesn't set any function. It's up to udev rules to set triggers for these LEDs.

In the patch I had labels something like "green:d2" so you know it's D2 LED and it's green color.

There might be some logic in the kernel based on the label naming too. Don't recall the details.
