Do I need to alter the default kernel in order for audio to sound?
<uwumeowmeownyaa>
Currently I use the followind Qemu options: "-audiodev alsa,id=vsnd0,out.try-poll=off -device ich9-intel-hda -device hda-output,audiodev=vsnd0"
<uwumeowmeownyaa>
Actually, sound works fine. It is Firefox what is not working.
<uwumeowmeownyaa>
How do I make it work?

Is it firefox or firefox-bin? If I remember right the binary releases deprecated alsa support in favor of pulseaudio

You could run firefox-bin with the apulse wrapper. Then you don't need to install pulseaudio.

uwumeowmeownyaa: "CRUX GNU/Linux distribution also referred to as just "CRUX"" Wrong, it's just called "CRUX", not "also referred to".
