ppetrov^: the target of the 10-autohint.conf symlink should have been installed by fontconfig. Did you delete it by mistake?
<farkuhar>
Meanwhile, the output of `prtcheckmissing` on my system suggests an accidental deletion somewhere else, specifically /usr/share/icons/Adwaita/.icon-theme.cache ... but this file is empty, so I'm not too concerned.
<ppetrov^>
farkuhar, nope, but i need to check my ports again, i have a few that install additional fonts and config file
<ppetrov^>
sorry, probably my onw mistake
<farkuhar>
ppetrov^: is the comment in opt/adwaita-icon-theme/post-install still accurate? It looks like /usr/bin/gtk-update-icon-cache is provided by gtk3 now. But since you're the resident gtk2 expert, maybe you have a better idea.
<ppetrov^>
I don't have Adwaita icon theme
<farkuhar>
I know you're not the maintainer of that port, I was just wondering whether you knew the history of the gtk2 -> gtk3 transition, as it relates to ownership of /usr/bin/gtk-update-icon-cache
<ppetrov^>
geez man, not at all. And I am no "expert" in gtk2, i just happen to dislice what came after
