Just trying pipewire again with pulseaudio. Seems the x264 port won't download. From the crux.ster.zone ... Couldn't connect to server .. error
<SiFuh>
I removed crux.ster.zone from my repo because it was dead
<mnkydeth>
ahh k
<mnkydeth>
best way to get x264 then?
<mnkydeth>
It's obviously a dependancy of something. I didn't check that far.
<SiFuh>
Isn't crux.ster.zone Romster's distfiles anyway? Therefore he'd have downlaoded a specific version of it due to some reason at the videolan.org end. Maybe a naming issue or an unobtainable older version or something
<mnkydeth>
No idea ... I figured I'd have to modify the Pkgfile to accomodate the master or stable release from that site.
<SiFuh>
I have the archive x264-148.20160808-a5e06b9.tar.xz
<mnkydeth>
I suppose it should be noted because we can't get the x264 port normally. It most likely should be updated at some point. Maybe I should have brought this up in the dev channel. But at least it's noted.
<SiFuh>
Yeah, don't worry, I will live it up anyway just in case others need it

<ppetrov^>
libpcre2 has md5sum mismatch
<SiFuh>
Hmm, md5sum isn't being used anymore
<ppetrov^>
actually, you are right
<ppetrov^>
so, why
<SiFuh>
PKGMK_IGNORE_MD5SUM="yes"
<SiFuh>
pkgmk.conf
<ppetrov^>
got the same with mm-common
<ppetrov^>
yes, yes, sure
<SiFuh>
I think they are working on removing it completely now.
<ppetrov^>
well, good
<ppetrov^>
i see there's a new feature for pkgmk? To rename the downloaded source
<ppetrov^>
this looks very nice
<SiFuh>
Not sure, heard they weere working on that too.
<ppetrov^>
nam pkgfile
<ppetrov^>
*man
<ppetrov^>
gives:
<ppetrov^>
renames=($name-$version.tar.gz SKIP)
<SiFuh>
Cool shit!
<ppetrov^>
have not tried it yet
<ppetrov^>
really elegant
<SiFuh>
Yes, this will come in handy if Github tries to screw the URL with the naming scheme we poach from again
<SiFuh>
I really wish people would archive their crap with a resonable name
<ppetrov^>
heh
<ppetrov^>
when I first had to make SlackBuilds dealing with GitHub downloads, i was.. enraged

frinnst: retiring from the crux core team and then joining crux-arm seems to be a common path (taken by you and sepen, at least). Maybe Romster will follow in your footsteps?
