<farkuhar> ppetrov^: Comparing http://sprunge.us/2DFBqf and your build log, https://pastebin.com/MSArHiW4 , it looks like the key difference is not texlive, but perhaps doxygen?
<ppetrov^> you may be right, when i remove texlive, the build is fine... but i may have messed sth..?
<farkuhar> http://sprunge.us/bvTeYO is the correct link to my build log.
<farkuhar> well, the CMake configuration looks for both texlive and doxygen. if either one is not present, the documentation is not one of the build targets.
<farkuhar> as a follow-up experiment, i'll install doxygen and try rebuilding jasper.
<farkuhar> confirmed. with doxygen and texlive both installed, I can reproduce your build failure: http://sprunge.us/Bd1CDI

<ppetrov^> thanks, good to know the problem is not just here
<SiFuh> So it is good that negativity is not just yours and that you know someone is sharing it? :-P
<ppetrov^> heh
<ppetrov^> more like "it's good to know I did not mess up something"
<SiFuh> Much better :-)
<SiFuh> I wonder if I will break something. I am going to do an update that is about a month old
<ppetrov^> well, i noticed that after a qt5 upgrade, I must recompile a bunch of stuff, although revdep does not report problems there
<ppetrov^> so, I just rebuild anything that depends on qt5
<braewoods> revdep only detects one form of ABI breakage. If there's other issues it won't really detect it.
<SiFuh> And if revdep is broken it won't detect anything.
<ppetrov^> in a way I am grateful to CRUX... when using Slackware, I was blissfully ignorant of how many things may break
<SiFuh> Yeah

<farkuhar> Slackware users don't have to remain blissfully ignorant, if somebody takes the time to post a revdep build script on slackbuilds.org
<SiFuh> Heh ' blissfully ignorant '

<ppetrov^> farkuhar, as far as I know, such tool does not exist
<ppetrov^> and dealing with updates from SBo has always been a pain for me, I used track manually what depends on what and the rebuild
<SiFuh> Not hard to install CRUX ports system on Slackware. :-) Which contians revdep
<SiFuh> prt-utils*

<ppetrov^> yes, but the base system won't be managed by them and i will end up with packages named differently
<ppetrov^> too bad noone ported prt-get for slackbuilds

<SiFuh> Heh, I meant just revdep to be used.
<SiFuh> Okay it needs /var/lib/pkg/db to run hahah so scrap the idea
_moth_ has quit [Ping timeout: 268 seconds]
<braewoods> SiFuh: what do you expect? it needs to read the package database.
<SiFuh> braewoods: fully aware now ;-)
<braewoods> speaking of i've restarted a new design for pkgutils
<braewoods> not sure how much will go in the library vs the application part
