<beerman> i think these changes will work for libxkbcommon and qt related ports
<beerman> i only identified qownnotes and kfwindowsystem which absolutely depend on x11extras. both in contrib and both by me
<beerman> i will probably add an if clause that checks for the needed library to tell the user whats wrong and exits, there is no way of solving that in a more elegant way
<beerman> none that i am seeing anyway
<farkuhar> nice work, beerman! I can confirm a successful build of qt5 with the changes you pushed.
<farkuhar> but I'm still questioning whether we have xkeyboard-config in the right level of the dependency tree. To my mind the best place for xkeyboard-config is as a direct dependency of xorg-server (replacing xorg-xkbcomp). That way, users who bypass the metaport when installing Xorg will still be able to run an X session.
