<jaeger>
beerman: in case you don't see this in #crux:
<jaeger>
14:30 <@jaeger> speaking of which, interesting data point: the 3.7 one succeeds if I replace pkgconf with pkg-config
<jaeger>
(kodi builds successfully on 3.7 if pkgconf is replaced with the older pkg-config)
<jaeger>
Maybe the simplest solution would be to let it use the system libdvdread/libdvdcss instead of builtin, I'll test that when I have time
<jaeger>
yeah, looks like it'll build fine if either a) libdvdread is installed or b) pkgconf is replaced with pkg-config
<jaeger>
So maybe I'll make DVD support optional based on if libdvdread is installed... I haven't played a DVD in kodi in years, myself... if ever
<jaeger>
Ah, interesting, now I see why it would build on my HTPC... because I built kodi-wayland there first, which has libdvdcss/libdvdread as deps
<jaeger>
more data: even if dvdcss is disabled, it tries to build libdvdread and libdvdnav, presumably so you can still watch DVDs if they're unencrypted
<jaeger>
But there's only the flag for disabling dvdcss, heh
