<beerman> finally understood what giteas problem was with static assets..
<beerman> i can't say the solution is nice, but it works
<beerman> jaeger: shall we add smtp settings soon? this way people could self register and service (e.g. forgotten password)
<beerman> i mean, if we make that productive we can ditch flyspray which spams our logs. would solve a lot and give us more time to clean out /

<jue> jaeger: upgrade to rc4 worked fine on my desktop, didn't work on my very old laptop with only 1G ram, even though it plays well with 3.6
<jue> jaeger: do we know how much ram is needed for the install from our ISO?
<SiFuh> jue: about 1.1GB jaeger had told me when I was running rc3
<jue> SiFuh: thanks

<jaeger> The way the current install media works it loads a huge rootfs into memory... I've been considering going back to the older style to reduce memory usage for a while now
<jue> it's not important for me, I don't use the old laptop much and have updated it already via mounted USB-stick manually ;)
<jaeger> Or maybe just offering an alternate install media as well
<jaeger> fair enough
<SiFuh> Not too many people these days use machines with 1GB of RAM that I know of.
<jue> btw, added 3.7-rc4 tags to our repos today
<jaeger> ok
<jaeger> beerman: In the end I don't have a preference for which git system we use, I think jue is who you need to convince :)
groovy2shoes has joined #crux-devel
<beerman> i think jue is already conviced

<jue> right, I'm fine if we use gitea
<jaeger> ok
<beerman> would be nice, gitea is as good as ready, i am just hoping they would change something for subfolder structures and static asset delivery
<beerman> but nginx + pmwiki + gitea should just need final touches
